Meet Our Horses:
These friendly
equestrians are the reason we do what we do.
Below are just a few of the horses and ponies we have.
Check back often as we continue to add more!
The Lesson Committee:
Bubbles In A Bottle,
"Bubbles" (below) is a eleven year old, top of the line small Welsh
cross pony mare. She is owned by Leanne and is one of
the best producing broodmares on the farm. She has had
four foals to date. Her first two by Triple Hill, and
her third and fourth offspring by Fox Cry Rose Cummerbund.
Bubbles has passed her fabulous temperament, willing
attitude and friendly personality on to all her children.
They have all been wonderful to work with, quiet and very
easy to train. Which has been proven in her first two
offspring as they have been started under saddle.
After taking the last year off Bubbles has been brought
'back to work' and is helping to teach beginner riders at
Flying Change PHP.
Triple Treat, "Coco" is a lovely
2005 crossbred pony out of our beloved broodmare "Bubbles" and by "Triple Hill" a leading pony sire in the US.
Coco has been started under saddle in the spring of 2008, by
Brandon Hill and is turning into a wonderful boy. He
has a wonderful quiet personality and a very willing
attitude. He competed in his first hunter show and
took everything in stride and brought home several ribbons.
Coco is becoming a quick favorite with the children and we
look for him to do great things in the future!
Congratulations to his new owner Julianna Bona! Coco
is already filling her wall with ribbons!

Lemon, "Lemon" is a middle aged
Quarter horse gelding that came to us in the Spring of 2009.
He is currently on loan and enjoys helping out with the
lesson program. His specialty is beginners!! He is
also a well rounded guy and helps with Western pleasure,
teaching kids to canter, jumps small crossrails, and his all
time favorite thing to do is.... help with the trail rides!
He is very quiet natured guy, and a favorite with several
students! He is welcome in our field anytime!
T.M. Doc
Doodles, "Doc Doodles" (below), has been a welcome
addition to our list of horses. He has been with us for about
three years and will not be going anywhere.
Doodles is one of those multi-taskers with his quiet and
patient temperament and on a weekly basis his job includes
helping with lead liners, trail rides, western pleasure,
pony rides here and there, babysitter for the foals and his
favorite jumping. He has also help so many riders get
their first ribbons in the show ring and has even competed
in cross country and jumper classes! So if you ever
come to the farm to visit please be sure to bring Doodles a
carrot or a peppermint (those are his favorite!) He
has been a wonderful blessing and we are blessed to have him join our family and
friends. I think he will be starting up his own fan
club...check back later for details!

Kirby (below), is an aged
Standardbred gelding. He came to us in the fall of
2007 from an old friend of mine. Although I am not a
fan of the breed, Kirby is so sweet and quiet that I
couldn't pass him up. He is quickly becoming a top
favorite with the children at the barn and even the adults!
He like Doodles is a multi-tasker, he loves to trail ride,
jump, go cross country and be fussed with. Kirby has
several championship ribbons in Jumpers and Cross Country.
He currently has three year end championships for 2009 at
Swan Lake in Puddle Jumpers, and Shadowbrook in Puddle &
Hopeful Jumpers, piloted by Brandon Hill.

Just Enuf Scribbles, Fancy is an
older Paint mare that has been helping out with the lessons
for several years. In her prime Fancy was shown and
placed at the World Paint Show in Western Pleasure and Trail
classes. She has since retired to helping students
start their show career at the local levels. She still
assist with Western Pleasure, Trail, English Pleasure, Lead
line and will occasionally take a beginner on a trail ride
around the farm. We love her quiet gentle personality
and the kids get a kick out of the silly habit she has of
playing with her tongue!

Impress Me Gunnin, "Gunner" is a
seven year old Paint gelding that was rescued from an
Auction over the 2008 summer. When Gunner joined us he
was a mess! Skinny, severely sun burnt and had all kinds of
cuts on his body. The abuse he suffered before he came
to the farm, however had no effect on his personality.
He has quickly become another favorite with his quiet
temperament and unique looks! In the short time since
he has been with us he has helped several students get their
first championship ribbons! The judges seem to like him just
as much as the children, he has placed nearly first in every
class he has been shown in! We look for him to be here for
many years to come!

Cappuccino, "Chino" is a ten year
old top of the line large pony. Chino was hand raised
by me (his mother died before he was a month
old.) Because of this unfortunate event Chino ended up
more like a dog than a person. Chino was sold at the
start of my business as I didn't think he would fit
into my lesson program at the time. I did keep in
contact with his owners over the years, and in the summer of
2009 I had the chance to get him back and jumped
on it. Chino seems to be very happy and right at home and
loves all the excitement and attention he gets. We
have taken him to a few shows and he somewhat manages to get
down to business and was Reserve Champion in a Novice Jumper
division in August 2009! He has settled down from how
he was as a youngster and assisted with camp and helps with
lessons, although he still has a silly fun loving attitude
that everyone seems to get a kick out of!

"MY GIRLS"
Fox Cry Gadabout "Lena"
is every little girl's dream pony! She is a registered
Section B Welsh filly with wonderful bloodlines. She
was purchased from our dear friend Adele Bailey. Lena
has started her show career in 2006 with a bang,
she
ended
the
season
finishing first for two year old fillies!!
She was 2007, 2008 & 2009 Maryland state Reserve champion
mare on both Welsh day and Hunter breeding. She is one in a
million! She is the princess of the barn and certainly
plays the part. She has been started lightly under saddle in
the fall of 2007 but due to unfortunate accident she has
joined the broodmare band. She had a lovely grey filly FC
Minuet born May 2009, who like her mother has been a star in
the show ring!! Occasionally Lena will pack a kid around the
ring for fun, and even brought home a Reserve Champion in
Mini Stirrup! Click

Second & third pictures 2006, 2007, MD state Welsh Reserve Champion
& Senior Reserve Hunter pony champion!
Davric Matilda "Tilly" (below) is a 10 year old registered
Section A welsh mountain mare owned by Leanne. We are very
excited to add her to our broodmares. She has been a
broodmare most of her life and has also be shown a few
times. She was Champion at Penn Marydel as a two year old,
along with some other wins in her short career. She is a very
pretty roan who also produced a lovely chestnut filly
FC Gingerbread Baby in April
by Brookside Megastar, a 1998 Canadian Champion. Tilly
gave birth to a lovely bay roan colt by Fox Cry Rose Cummerbund ,
she is back in foal to him for a 2010 foal! We would like to thank Straubairy Acres for
allowing us to purchase her! Look for her babies in the
future! Click here to view
here pedigree!

"Foxy" (below) is
a 5 year old dark bay Thoroughbred mare that came to us from a
farm that was finding homes for their lesson horses. I went
to see her and when the woman told me she was used for
beginner lessons. I rolled my eyes, not too many young
horses work for beginners, and especially TB mares!
She has by far exceed my expectations. She is
the SWEETEST mare I have ever met and has quickly found a spot
in my heart. She has to make sure whenever anyone is in
the field that she comes over to visit with them. My
only complaint is her size, she is HUGE. Currently
stands 16.2 and a 1/2 and is built like a tank! Not only
sweet but she is a darling to ride and she takes everything is
stride! She is a must see when you visit the farm.

Pacific Peggie "Lana"
is a 2005 black Thoroughbred mare that was rescued in
the fall of 2009. She is a lovely small mare, perfect
for our breeding program. Exceptional temperament,
conformation and a very nice mover!! Lana like most of my
others came skinny and covered in rain rot. She
has gained a bunch of weight and a beautiful rich coat has
replaced her rain rot. She has been started under
saddle and will be ridden until she joins our broodmare band
in the spring of 2010. We look for her and Nick to
produce a Fancy "black" hunter pony in 2011, I can't wait!!
Pictures coming soon!
Rosmel Felicity "Felicity"is
a 2002 registered section B mare by the famous Rosmel
Quadrille out of Rosmel Copper Penny. Felicity has
some of the best names in the Welsh breed in her pedigree.
Her foals are very fancy, easy to train and well suited for
children. She is a shy but kind medium mare with nice
conformation and great movement. She is currently bred
to Llhaven Khatman for a 2010 foal. She will be bred
to one of our stallions for a 2011 foal.

Wicklyn's Emerald Isle "Erin" is a
1998 registered section B mare by Lemontree Sea Captain out
of Findeln Emerald. Erin had a successful show career
on the hunter circuit for several years before being retired
as a broodmare. She is a lovely large medium mare with
excellent conformation, bone and a wonderful sweet
temperament. She is the official greeter for the
farm!! Erin is in foal to Fox Cry Rose Cummerbund for
a 2011 foal. We would like to thank Susan Wick for
giving us the opportunity to own such a wonderful mare.
Cymraeg Applause "Applause" is a
lovely registered section B welsh mare by
Cymraeg
Rain Beau
out of Cross Roads Three Cheers.
Applause sire Rain Beau is well known for being one of the
leading hunter pony sires in the US. Applause has been
a consistent producer, always passing along fabulous looks,
conformation and exceptional movement. Applause is
currently in foal to Pengywn for a April 2010 foal. We
feel very fortunate to own this wonderful mare and look
forward to seeing what she produces with our stallions.
We would like to thank Susan Wick!
